We sow in tears but reap in joy

We sow in tears but reap in joy

From the blood of righteous Stephen

To Charlie Kirk yesterday

Their testimony stands to all

Christ is coming back one day

The world hates the truth they proclaim

They try to silence their voice

“They kill us as sheep all day long”

But now in heav’n those souls rejoice

And through their costly sacrifice

We know the blood of the slain—

Who gave their lives for the Savior

For His cause died not in vain.

We sow in tears but reap in joy

Like the dandelion’s seed

The more the world tries scattering us

The more for Christ we succeed!

So let the persecution come

That it spread the gospel flame!

If we must perish for a cause

Let it be for Thy dear name!

Oh how happy our humble lot

If we are counted worthy,

To suffer shame and die for Thee

To live with You in glory!

My Grateful Praise

My Grateful Praise

Oh Lord, most Holy, and gracious King

I’m humbled to tears that You saved me

My gratitude cannot express

The praise that is rightfully due Thee

Oh, how often I venture from Thee

How swift are my feet to turn astray!

What shall bind fast my foolish heart

That I no longer from Thee stray?

Set my affections on things above

Grant me eyes of faith to see heav’n’s view,

My fleeting life here will soon pass

Then I’ll be in heaven with You.

Oh what a joyous reward awaits!

Far better than any crown or gold

To meet my Savior face to face

His wondrous beauty to behold!

I Know Not What on the Morrow May Be

I Know Not What on the Morrow May Be

I know not what on the morrow may be

But I trust in my Lord, Who keepeth me

Every detail is in His control

Safe in the Father’s hands rests my soul.

He knows the number of hairs on my head

He knows when I arise and go to bed.

Nothing can part His sure, loving care

His ears are open unto my prayer.

“Well Done.”

“Well Done.”

No one is guaranteed tomorrow

Or even the next breath of air

If you passed from this earth now

Would you feel remorse or despair?

Have you faithfully served the Savior?

Is your treasure laid up above?

Or did you your talent bury?

While you fanned the flame of self-love?

If your life is made up of temporal things

When this earth melts in fervent heat,

Your goods will burn as costly kindling

While you alone reach heav’n’s retreat.

Empty-handed and ashamed, you’ll see,

The Lamb of God Who died for you.

But you’ll have nothing to offer Him

To Whom all thanks and praise is due.

“Well done, thou good and faithful servant”

These are the words I long to hear!

“Enter thou in the joy of thy Lord.”

From the lips of my Savior dear.

Talents and time He has given all

Before we reach eternity.

Time to use them is slipping away

So use each opportunity!

2 Peter 3:10

“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.”

Matthew 25:21, “His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”

The rainbow’s true meaning

The rainbow’s true meaning

Colorful and majestic in the sky

Symmetrical and visible on high

God placed the rainbow for Noah to see

And for all people who should come to be

It continues to appear still today

Just like it did so long ago that day

Reminding all, God’s promises fail not

No one can bring His purposes to naught.

The rainbow’s true meaning let me tell you

With wickedness it has nothing to do!

The reason for the devastating flood

Is the same reason Jesus shed His blood

We’ve all sinned and come short of God’s glory

But that’s not the full redemption story

Jesus bore the wrath of God for us all

Saving the souls of those who on Him call

And in the final judgement day of God

All His own shall safely reach heaven’s sod

Do not let the world trick you with its lies

Pride and wicked lifestyles God does despise

An abomination’s symbol of pride—

A bow given after lots of men died,

Stands for a reminder for all who see

That God, Who is just, also has mercy

He spared eight human souls and creation

From complete and total destruction

The rainbow is a symbol of God’s alone

The Righteous Judge sits on His royal throne.

Which One Are You?

 Which One Are You?

To the temple of God came one day

Two very different men, to pray

One stood tall in his self-righteousness

The other his sin did confess.

One arrogantly puffed up his chest

The other smote upon his breast

One looked up toward the heavenly skies

The other lifted not his eyes.

One thanked God for the bad he was not

The other God's forgiveness sought.

One would have heaven’s access denied

But the other left justified.

The pharisee trusted his good deed

The publican saw his own need

Search your heart and this question ask too,

Which one of these people are you?

Luke 18: 10-14

Poem About Joseph

 Poem about Joseph

Chains, fetters, and the dungeon dark

Brought Joseph’s young life down low,

God was with him all the way

His rich blessings to bestow.

He never left nor forsook him

He was at work the whole time

The slave became second ruler

Through God’s miracle sublime.

Joseph—whose feet with fetters hurt,

Was wrongly in iron laid.

He waited patiently on his God

With faith that could not be swayed.

And God used him to deliver

His family from starvation

He prepared him for leadership

And became their salvation.

Without Reserve

Without Reserve

Lord, help me give myself to You without reserve

To love You with all my heart and joyfully serve,

To labor faithfully in the menial task

Doing all for Your glory—going where you ask

I pray You’d keep my feet on the path You have trod,

Be the center of my being, my delight, my God!

And if I must walk through the school of loneliness

Or if I must pass through affliction and distress

Oh let them draw me ever closer to Thy breast

That my weary soul may find in Thee it’s true rest

Give me Thy endurance through Thy refining flame

Let me always hold dear Thy precious, Holy name!

Let me hear, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.”

Thou art with me through death’s valley and fields verdant

Through the wilderness I lacked nothing when with Thee

Whatever my lot, help me contented to be.

Every hardship, obstacle, and loss will erase

When I know as I’m known and see Thee face to face.
