Without Reserve

Without Reserve

Lord, help me give myself to You without reserve

To love You with all my heart and joyfully serve,

To labor faithfully in the menial task

Doing all for Your glory—going where you ask

I pray You’d keep my feet on the path You have trod,

Be the center of my being, my delight, my God!

And if I must walk through the school of loneliness

Or if I must pass through affliction and distress

Oh let them draw me ever closer to Thy breast

That my weary soul may find in Thee it’s true rest

Give me Thy endurance through Thy refining flame

Let me always hold dear Thy precious, Holy name!

Let me hear, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.”

Thou art with me through death’s valley and fields verdant

Through the wilderness I lacked nothing when with Thee

Whatever my lot, help me contented to be.

Every hardship, obstacle, and loss will erase

When I know as I’m known and see Thee face to face.

Went back to being “just friends” with Caleb Lewis.

In my dark and lonely hour

In my dark and lonely hour

In my dark and lonely hour

I will flee to Thee, my strong Tower

My highest hopes, my dreams I give

I die daily, but in Thee I live

Oh preserve me in Thy mercy

When trials almost overwhelm me.

They draw me still closer to You

Behold, all Your promises are true!

“I will never leave nor forsake.”

My God has promised to undertake!

His working is a mystery

For He sees through all eternity!

His ways—more than I comprehend

“Thoughts of peace and an expected end.”

Oh what a comfort to my soul!

My God is still in complete control!

And “lo, I am with you alway,”

He’s with me and listens when I pray,

“Wait on the Lord; be of good cheer.”

He will strengthen me when life is drear,

In my dark and lonely hour

I will flee to Thee, my strong Tower!

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

At Thy Throne, O God

At Thy Throne, O God

At Thy throne, O my Lord

Temptations lose their pow’r,

When Satan as a lion

Seeks my soul to devour;

I run to my safe Refuge

In the depths of Thy Word,

Where every foe is repelled

And every plea with Thee heard

At Thy throne, O my Lord

I find heav’nly strength indeed!

Where Thy strength lifts up my soul

And Thy grace meets my need.

And in Thy presence in prayer

I find my shoulders relieved

As the burden falls away

Peace fills my heart that once grieved.

Jesus, the Soul's Refuge

Jesus, the Soul’s Refuge

Jesus is the soul’s dear Refuge,

A solace for the aching heart,

He e’er liveth to intercede

In our troubles He taketh part,

He is our ever-present Help

In Him alone we may confide

The smallest need; the greatest care

‘Neath His shelt’ring wings we abide.

Jesus is the soul’s dear Refuge

A haven from the storms of life,

When He whispers, “Peace, all be still.”

All quiet is the raging strife,

“In all points tempted like as we,”

He understands our grief and woe,

Avail yourself of His free grace

The sweet peace of God feel and know.

Refuge--a condition of being safe or sheltered from pursuit, danger, or trouble.
something providing shelter.

Blessed Calvary

1. I look at the cross upon Calvary,
And oh, what a wonder divine,
To think of the wealth it holds for me—
The riches of Heaven are mine.

Refrain
Blessèd Calvary! Precious Calvary!
’Neath thy shadow I’ll ever abide.
Blessèd Calvary! Precious Calvary!
’Twas there Jesus suffered and died.

2. I find at the cross blessèd victory,
And grace for each step of my way.
The fount of God’s love is flowing free,
And sweeter it grows day by day. [Refrain]

3. The cross is my hope for eternity,
No merit have I of my own;
The shed blood of Christ my only plea—
My trust is in Jesus alone. [Refrain]

I Walk Not Alone in the Storms of Life

I Walk Not Alone in the Storms of Life

I walk not alone in the storms of life,

And the strong, raging, billowing sea

Cannot wreck or overturn my small craft

With the Ancient of Days piloting me

Refrain:

I walk not alone,

I walk not alone,

The Good Shepherd guideth me!

I walk not alone,

I walk not alone,

His grace is made known to me!

And though the devil makes me feel alone

And none else can see or bear my load,

When I flee to the refuge of Thy Word

I find I walk not alone life’s road.

I walk not alone through the storms of life,

And though their purpose I cannot see

I know Thou wilt provide mercy and strength,

Thy faithfulness never faileth me.
