Fear Not the Coming Persecution

Fear Not the Coming Persecution

Lord, we pray You’d give us courage

To preach the Gospel far and wide

If we’re slain for speaking the Truth

Let it spread on our blood-stained tide

Fear not the coming persecution

Not the enemy’s bloody sword

To be absent from our body

Is to be present with our Lord

For after they kill the body

There is no more that they can do

For us, death is only a door

To enter into life with You.

Oh the exceeding privilege

For us, a martyr’s death to die

May our death, like the Son of God

Point souls to God in heav’n on high

9-19-25

We sow in tears but reap in joy

We sow in tears but reap in joy

From the blood of righteous Stephen

To Charlie Kirk yesterday

Their testimony stands to all

Christ is coming back one day

The world hates the truth they proclaim

They try to silence their voice

“They kill us as sheep all day long”

But now in heav’n those souls rejoice

And through their costly sacrifice

We know the blood of the slain—

Who gave their lives for the Savior

For His cause died not in vain.

We sow in tears but reap in joy

Like the dandelion’s seed

The more the world tries scattering us

The more for Christ we succeed!

So let the persecution come

That it spread the gospel flame!

If we must perish for a cause

Let it be for Thy dear name!

Oh how happy our humble lot

If we are counted worthy,

To suffer shame and die for Thee

To live with You in glory!

The rainbow’s true meaning

The rainbow’s true meaning

Colorful and majestic in the sky

Symmetrical and visible on high

God placed the rainbow for Noah to see

And for all people who should come to be

It continues to appear still today

Just like it did so long ago that day

Reminding all, God’s promises fail not

No one can bring His purposes to naught.

The rainbow’s true meaning let me tell you

With wickedness it has nothing to do!

The reason for the devastating flood

Is the same reason Jesus shed His blood

We’ve all sinned and come short of God’s glory

But that’s not the full redemption story

Jesus bore the wrath of God for us all

Saving the souls of those who on Him call

And in the final judgement day of God

All His own shall safely reach heaven’s sod

Do not let the world trick you with its lies

Pride and wicked lifestyles God does despise

An abomination’s symbol of pride—

A bow given after lots of men died,

Stands for a reminder for all who see

That God, Who is just, also has mercy

He spared eight human souls and creation

From complete and total destruction

The rainbow is a symbol of God’s alone

The Righteous Judge sits on His royal throne.

Prayer for a Shepherd’s Love

Prayer for a Shepherd’s Love

Father, give us a shepherd's love

To see the feeble and help the weak

To leave the whole ninety and nine

The poor wanderers to seek

And like Jesus, the Great Shepherd

To lay down for them our lives, our all

Counting loss but gain for Christ

To obey the Father's call

A shepherd lives not in comfort

So let us forsake our ease and wealth

Let us suffer if need be

For their soul’s eternal health

Help us fear not the wrath of man

What can his anger or disdain do?

Neither he nor Satan can harm

Any soul that’s trusting You

For our moment’s light affliction

Worketh for us eternal glory

And we have this joy exceeding

To share Christ’s wondrous story

So grant us boldness for Thy cause

The door from earth to Life might be grim

But our Savior abolished death

And naught can heaven’s joy dim!

What verses does this bring to mind?

Quite a few for me.

This prayer shouldn’t just be what we expect from missionaries…it should be the desire of every child of God.

My Grandpa Was a Godly Man

My Grandpa Was a Godly Man

My Grandpa was a godly man
And though he wasn’t perfect
He sought to follow God’s plan;
His conduct was circumspect.
His dear wife was his first love,
After His Savior of course,
And now he’s in heav’n above
Serving with every resource.
I know he wants you to know
Not to mourn for him today,
But God’s love to others show
Help them to the Narrow Way.
Live your life to honor God
Laying up treasure above;
And when you reach heav’nly sod
Receive the joy of God’s love!
You might struggle in the way
Your flesh may give into sin-
But heed what the Proverbs say,
“The just man will rise again!”
Grandpa lived an example
Mercy was shown for mistakes
What God showed was a sample
For His own He undertakes!

All Glory I Will Give to Thee

All Glory I Will Give to Thee

Give me a song to sing to Thee

One with beautiful harmony

Inflate my lungs with joyous praise

As this happy chorus I raise!

All glory I will give to Thee

From Thee flows all this melody

With thankful heart I sing this song

Give me pow’r to praise all day long

When I’m asked why I sing with mirth

I will tell others of Thy birth

Of Thy death and resurrection

Of Thee I’ll make my confession

No nobler theme can lips employ

Than the devil’s lies to destroy

By proclaiming Thy Truth abroad

Telling the lost of our God!

A life of victory let us live

Thy Holy Spirit Thou didst give

That we might claim Thy pow’r alone

And approach boldly to Thy throne

No grief awaits us in the grave

The Savior died our souls to save

And rose again to redeem all--

That in trusting faith on Him call.

Souls in Peril

Souls in Peril

Souls in peril, see them now
Sliding into depths of hell,
Jesus saves! Share the news!
Satan shall not prevail!
Girded with our armor on
Let us fight and press ahead,
“Retreat” shall not be heard
Wasted time let us dread.

If we could know agony
That they shall ever endure,
We’d strive more to reach the lost
Before their doom is sure
We would selflessly outpour
Our energy, time, and love.
How the angels rejoice
O’er newborn souls above!

So let us set all aside,
And labor to win the lost.
Loving as Jesus loved
And counting not the cost.
And we who are no better
Than they, save the grace of God,
Might call lost souls to Christ
And reach heavenly sod.

Oh, How Great and Rich in Mercy!

Oh, How Great and Rich in Mercy!

The beauty of God’s creation

Is in every minute detail,

From the vast, starry horizon

To the small, complex human cell.

From the meadows to the forest

From the lofty heights to the dales,

Creation sings in one chorus--

Of the Creator God it tells.

Man in vain searches for answers

Of origin and destiny;

But he looks in the wrong places

With blinded eyes that will not see,

He twists all the truth around him

To fit his own feeble theory

And when it is found yet wanting

He still rejects God’s Deity.

Written in every mortal tongue

God tells man through creation’s voice,

“I am Lord of the universe

But I leave you with a free choice

You may serve me with soul and heart

And spend eternity with Me,

Or you can reject My Son’s blood

And choose a life of misery.”

Foolish man in his own conceit

Thinks he can devise his own way,

Not believing God or His Word

That there’s a coming judgment day,

And though the earth will be shaken

And the stars in the heavens fall

Still man turns his back on the Lord

And refuses to on Him call.

Oh, how great and rich in mercy

God is to the children of men!

He tarries with His fierce anger

That all might repent of their sin,

He convicts man with His Spirit

And beckons to Him with His love

He cares for them as a Shepherd

That they might join His flock above.
