Jesus is the joy of living

Oh how sweet He is to know!

No matter what life is bringing,

Just to know He loves me so.

He who came from heaven’s splendor,

To redeem my soul from hell,

Has paid the price for evermore,

And for mankind rent the veil.

For me the price He fully paid.

On His back my stripes were laid.

No more I carry sin and grief,

He has brought my soul relief.

Hark! Friends and neighbors, far and near,

Come to the Savior today!

Hasten while the time is still here,

The voice of the Lord obey.
