Mighty is the Lord
As the billows mighty in the sea
So Thy might Lord, more than me
As the trees far above my head
So Thy heights far vaster spread
As the heavens above the earth
So Thy thoughts of matchless worth
Not the deepest or darkest cave
Nor the lonely, solemn grave
Can cause Thine eyes to fail to see
Thy servant, where ere they be
Darkness can’t dim Thy holy light
Nor swallow me up in fright
Naught can arrest Thy spoken word
Nor cease Thy voice from being heard
Each tree tells of Thy sacrifice
Great was Calvary’s cruel price
Each grain speaks of Thy body’s bread
By which hungered souls are fed
Loudly doth creation proclaim
By signs and wonders Thy name
Who can purge the heart from within?
Who alone can pardon sin?
None save the Light, the Truth, the Way
God, the Potter of the clay.
