“Well Done.”

“Well Done.”

No one is guaranteed tomorrow

Or even the next breath of air

If you passed from this earth now

Would you feel remorse or despair?

Have you faithfully served the Savior?

Is your treasure laid up above?

Or did you your talent bury?

While you fanned the flame of self-love?

If your life is made up of temporal things

When this earth melts in fervent heat,

Your goods will burn as costly kindling

While you alone reach heav’n’s retreat.

Empty-handed and ashamed, you’ll see,

The Lamb of God Who died for you.

But you’ll have nothing to offer Him

To Whom all thanks and praise is due.

“Well done, thou good and faithful servant”

These are the words I long to hear!

“Enter thou in the joy of thy Lord.”

From the lips of my Savior dear.

Talents and time He has given all

Before we reach eternity.

Time to use them is slipping away

So use each opportunity!

2 Peter 3:10

“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.”

Matthew 25:21, “His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”
