My Lord, My Teacher
When I
trembled beneath my load
And cried
unto my Lord
He
answered me very simply
“My grace
I do not hoard
Of that
which hath befallen thee
Cannot I
it command?
Hast thou
learned to fully trust Me?
Do you
question My plan?”
What a
wonderful bestowment!
Unto me He
did say;
“My trials
are thy refinement
And this My
chosen was.
I have
chosen what’s best for you
So rest ye
in My will
When I
spake a word to the sea
The waves
were calm and still.”
O Lord,
give me of Thy courage
Undimmed
by human fear
Enable
with Thy power
And draw
Thy servant near
Guide me
in Thy mercy and truth
When Satan’s
darts are cast
Shield me
safely in Thy shadow
In Thy
hand hold me fast.
