Power in Prayer

 

Oh that God’s children would unite in prayer
Unleashing heavenly power there!
“Where two or three are gathered in My name,”
Was not a promise giv’n by God in vain!
Prayer moves the hand of the Almighty
Changing the course of humanity,
Prayer is the power to petition God
To do His Word and work in hearts abroad.
Brother, bow your head and bend your knee
Why wait, when God’s power you may see?
Come before Him with clean heart and pure mind,
His ever-listening ear you will find!
Is it unbelief or lack of time
That keeps you from fellowship sublime?
What keeps you from talking to your Father?
Sweet time spent with Him would you not rather?
Why do you think the Devil hates prayer?
‘Tis because he knows God’s pow’r is there!
So come before the Lord with grateful heart
Let’s pray without ceasing, which is our part.
